“Hi, I’m Annique and I’m a writer.”
For the culture…
I’m a freelance journalist based in London with a special interest in:
- Black British female experience
- PR and communications
- Positive psychology eg. gratitude, wellbeing, optimism, mindfulness
I have bylines in several publications, including gal-dem, PRS for Music’s M Magazine and Black Ballad.
I’m also a Grade 2 pianist – and counting – with the sole goal of being able to play ‘That’s the Way I Feel About Cha’ (alternate version by Aretha Franklin) at whim.
I’m an award-winning Change Communications Business Partner. In a nutshell, I write psychology-backed strategies and create multimedia content to help employees understand and accept large-scale business changes (eg. new technology, processes, org structures).
My communications experience is broad – in terms of sector and company size/make-up – and driven by one goal: to help create inclusive working environments where all employees can win.
I also love helping other PR and communications folk thrive – so I share what I know on this blog, at events and online and through my work with the UK’s first association for Black African and Caribbean PR professionals.
Let’s work together!
I’m always interested in:
- connecting with new people
- writing about music and/or Black British women
- guest-blogging and speaking about internal communications
So if you’d like to connect or collaborate on something special, get in touch.
